Replanting Hope - Kelcie S
This Arbor Day, Kelcie and Tonya had the opportunity to give away 100 trees to our Subaru customers. One customer, Kristen Henry, truly stood out. She shared that she had lost several beloved redbud and dogwood trees in the Shoe Fire during the summer of 2024. By the end of the event, we realized we had a few trees left over. I immediately thought of Kristen. I gave her a call and asked her to come back we wanted her to have the remaining trees. Moments like this are what the Subaru Love Promise is truly about not just giving back, but connecting with people in a way that makes a lasting impact. A reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can help replant hope.

I am writing this with a heart full of appreciation for my Subaru and your staff. Last May, I purchased a 2019 Forester from Redding Subaru, and it has been nothing but a positive experience ever since. Your service department employees, Hunter and Daniel, have always shown great compassion when addressing my concerns. They made sure I was getting the best deal possible. Everyone in the service department was friendly, smiling, and trying to make all the customers feel welcome. Daniel and Hunter also helped me with a loaner car so I could continue working until mine was completed. Subaru serviced my Forester with great integrity by showing the completed service through a video. I really appreciated them performing a full assessment of all my safety features, such as making sure my tires were safe for travel. I also wanted to mention the kindness I received from Tonya. I am new to using a push-button starter and relatively new to Redding as well. I have limited resources in case of an emergency, and I accidentally locked my keys in the car at Costco after loading groceries. I was alone with no one to call, so I reached out to Subaru for advice. You went above and beyond anything I could have asked for. You went out of your way to pick me up in the parking lot and gave me a ride to my house so I could get my second set of keys. You also taught me about the emergency setup I have with my Subaru, and I will be visiting again so you can help me set it up properly. You asked for nothing in return for helping me. Your kindness exceeded anything I could have expected. Thank you so much for helping me feel safe during that emergency. Thank you again for everything you have done for me. I have felt so much compassion and care from everyone in the service department. They truly demonstrate honesty, integrity, and genuine care for their customers. I am definitely sold on Subaru now. I am proud to share a truly heartfelt experience from our recent Subaru Loves to Help – Operation Warm event at Grand Oaks Elementary School. Tonya, Michael, and Nick make up our team at Redding Subaru we had the privilege of participating in this meaningful event, where we distributed warm winter jackets to underprivileged children in our community. As the Love Promise Champion for our store, moments like these remind me why we do what we do. Seeing the smiles on the children's faces, watching their excitement as they picked out their new jackets, and feeling their genuine gratitude was incredibly touching. For many of these kids, this wasn't just a jacket — it was warmth, comfort, confidence, and the reassurance that their community cares about them. The experience was deeply rewarding for all of us. It brought our team together and reinforced the heart behind the Subaru Loves to Help initiative. Giving back isn't just something we talk about — it's something we live. I am so grateful to be part of a company and a community that believes in making a real difference. Warm Hearts and Warm Jackets - Jessica S
Grand Oaks is so thankful to have been able to partner with Redding Subaru and Operation Warm for another great Jacket Giveaway. Together, we were able to gift 132 jackets to families within our school and community. A highlight from our event was a child who was having a hard morning with his class. Once he was ready to join us, he picked out his jacket and stated "My jacket is so beautiful" and "My jacket makes me not angry anymore." Grand Oaks appreciates all Redding Subaru has done for our school including their Adopt a Classroom program. A Sweeter Life for Fudge, Thanks to Redding Subaru! - Annie R
When Fudge first arrived at Haven Humane, this eight-year-old chocolate lab mix had clearly been through a lot. Found wandering between Burney and Fall River Mills, she was a little unsure at first but quickly melted the hearts of everyone she met. At 90 pounds of pure love, Fudge was searching for a home where she could settle into a cozy routine, get back to a healthy weight, and soak up all the affection she deserved. With her happy tail wags, curious sniffs, and gentle spirit, it didn’t take long for the right family to find her. Fudge’s adoption was proudly sponsored by Redding Subaru through their Subaru Loves Pets program, which helps shelter animals find loving homes. Thanks to their generosity, Fudge’s adoption fees were fully covered, making it that much easier for her new family to say “yes” to this sweet girl. Because of Redding Subaru’s support, this special pup got her second chance—and there’s nothing sweeter than that.
Redding Subaru Supports Grand Oaks Elementary School - Joshua S
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Redding, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Redding Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Redding Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/16/2025, Redding Subaru donated 120 coats to Grand Oaks Elementary School. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

We are grateful for the care shown by Subaru and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in providing blankets and care kits to our patients receiving treatment. I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service Redding Subaru provided me during a difficult time. Our salesman Nick very patiently worked with my husband and I for 6 months on getting our new 2025 outback. I was so excited when finally we were able to purchase it and may 23rd we picked it up. Only 3 hours later we were rear ended and my beautiful new Outback was in the shop to get repaired. When Tonya called to schedule a Love encore Redelivery appointment, I told her what had happened to my new car, she was so sympathetic and caring. When I told her how sad I was because I was going to have to cancel a trip that I had planned for months to attend a dear friends wedding as well as a family reunion she really went above and beyond! When she told me that they were able to arrange for me to drive one of their loaner cars so I could still go on my trip I was just speechless! I have always felt cared about and supported by the team at Redding Subaru, and the kindness and willingness to help during a difficult time has touched us deeply. A Quilt of Valor – A Heartfelt Tribute - Lynn W
On April 18, 2025, I had the privilege of witnessing a deeply moving gesture of appreciation—one that truly embodies the Subaru Love Promise and its commitment to supporting our nation's heroes. As someone whose life has been personally touched by the service of veterans, I was honored to be part of an event where a local hero was recognized for their military service. When I learned Michael was a veteran, I knew he deserved something meaningful. That’s when the idea of presenting him with a Quilt of Valor was born. Michael the Service manager of Redding Subaru served in the U.S. Air Force from 1981 to 1985, stationed at Lowry Air Force Base and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, working diligently on A-10 avionics systems. His dedication and service exemplify the quiet strength of our military community. The Quilts of Valor Foundation is a national nonprofit that honors service members and veterans by gifting them handcrafted quilts as a tangible expression of gratitude and healing. The organization began with a mother who wanted to comfort her son after he returned from Iraq, believing that a simple quilt could help lift his spirits. Today, that mission continues—one quilt, one veteran at a time. This quilt was presented not just as a gift, but as a heartfelt symbol of appreciation from all of us who benefit from his courage and sacrifice.
